Kerry Campaign Makes Big Ad Buy In Arkansas And Other States

The Kerry campaign plans to make a 45 million dollar ad buy today in crucial swing states including Arkansas. The will run between now and Election Day in 20 states. The purchase is being timed to coincide with the end of the GOP convention in New York. Aides call it a down payment on their advertising strategy. Some spots will be on cable television and advertising geared toward minorities. The first spots will be broadcast in just ten states, which the campaign would not disclos. A campaign spokeswoman said the remaining ten states would be added between now and November Second.
