Delegation Enjoying "The Big Apple"

Members of Arkansas` delegation to the Republican National Convention say they are enjoying New York City. Sunday the delegation attended a Broadway showing of "The Phantom of the Opera" before attending a reception paid for by Wal-Mart. Many said they weren`t concerned about a massive anti-war protest that snaked in front of Madison Square Garden, although convention officials warned the delegates not to wear their credentials at nonconvention events. A few delegates were heckled as they waited in line outside of the Majestic Theater. Governor Huckabee says in an unusual move the Arkansas delegation will cast its 35 votes during a roll call this afternoon. Huckabee said delegates typically cast their votes the day before the nominee`s acceptance speech, but he thinks planners are saving that time for speakers.
