Muslim Community Approved

After a 30 minute debate on diversity, the Little Rock Planning commission voted unanimously to approve a Muslim community. The proposed site is at the corner of 40th and Potter Streets in the John Barrow neighborhood. A few residents showed up at the meeting to oppose the plans. They expressed concerns that the community would exclude Christians and Jews. Islamic leaders insist all faiths would be welcome to build homes in the community.
