Five young Arkansans will be watching and listening at close quarters when Republicans gather to nominate their presidential candidate and adopt a party platform in New York next week. Jonathan Gilmore of Roland, David Hobson of Mount Ida, Stephen Hobson of Barling, Christian Olson of Little Rock and Sarah Parks of Greenbrier have been chosen to work on the convention floor. They`ll be among 150 other teenagers performing similar duties at Madison Square Garden during the Republican National Convention, helping the delegates and guests. The state`s only scheduled speaker so far at the GOP convention is 20-year-old Princella Smith, who won an essay contest sponsored by MTV.
