Updated: January 7, 2009
The state Democratic Party said today that John Kerry is opting for a ground game as opposed to President Bush`s air attack. State Democrats touted the party`s organization in releasing results of a poll showing Kerry leading Bush in this battleground state. Kerry`s campaign released a poll data that showed the Democrat had a lead -- but within the margin of error -- in Arkansas. Ron Oliver, the Democratic Party of Arkansas chairman, said the poll showed the more Arkansans get to know Kerry, the more they appreciate him. Lt. Gov. Win Rockefeller, the state Republican Party chairman, dismissed the survey and questioned Kerry`s commitment to competing in Arkansas.
