A visitation is set for Tuesday evening for US
District Judge Stephen Reasoner, who died Saturday at age 60. Reasoner was appointed by President Reagan 16 years ago. The judge suffered from heart problems and had a heart transplant in May. The visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home.
Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Little Rock. Burial will be at the family gravesite at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Dickinson, Texas. Reasoner`s position on the federal bench was filled by Little Rock lawyer Leon Holmes, who was sworn in last week. That position
opened after Reasoner`s health prompted him to take senior status, which allowed him to handle fewer cases.
