Dee, who joined the station in May 2008, replaces Chief Meteorologist Mike Francis on KARK 4 Today. Francis took a similar job in Atlanta back in July.
Dee, who is still seen both on weekends and three days of the week on KARK 4 Today, officially joins news anchors Matt Mosler, Mallory Hardin and Wendy Suares on the 5AM to 8AM shift by mid-September.
"Greg is very knowledgeable. He is passionate about covering the weather. He has a knack for accuracy, and he is constantly updating his weather presentation during our three-hour morning news. Greg and Brett [Cummins] have demonstrated great chemistry working together to cover severe weather. Together they consistently cover severe weather with urgency, expertise, and calmness," said KARK 4 News Director Rob Heverling. "We are confident Greg's work will help us grow our morning news audience as well as our already strong Weather Authority brand."
Stepping into Dee's weekend slot is new KARK 4 Meteorologist Darby Bybee, who comes to Little Rock from KLKN in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he's been for the past three years.
Bybee is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. He joins the KARK 4 Weather Authority Team in late August and will be on the air by mid-September.
Bybee has a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Ball State University and has been chasing
tornadoes since 2002, having tracked them in 23 states.
The KARK 4 Weather Authority Team also includes long-serving meteorologist Brett Cummins, who will continue to be seen weeknights at 5,6, & 10.
