Interest Rates Staying the Same

The Federal Reserve isn't making any quick moves following the downgrade of the nation's credit by Standard & Poor's.
Fed policy makers announced today they're keeping overnight interest rates at zero to a quarter of one percent, where they've been since December of 2008.
However, in an unusual move, the Federal Open Market Committee said it expected to keep that rate at exceptionally low levels at least through mid-2013.
