Conway Mayor Looks Like John Edwards

The city of Conway is abuzz because Mayor Tab Townsell keeps being mistaken for Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards. When Edwards campaigned in North Little Rock earlier this week, Congressman Vic Snyder invited Townsell up on stage and noted the uncanny physical resemblance between Edwards and the mayor. Townsell says he`s had several mix ups where people thought he was Edwards. The mayor said he was waiting at a hotel to be shuttled to the campaign event when a woman insisted he take a picture with her, posing as Edwards, because her friends wouldn`t know the difference. Snyder had more snafus to share. The congressman said he saw the Secret Service scramble at the sight of Townsell and another time he had an intern mistake a photo of Townsell for Edwards. But back in Conway, Townsell said it was good to be back among people who quote "know who I am."
