Senator Lincoln Speaks To Seniors About Prescription Drugs

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Senator Blanche Lincoln spoke about prescription drugs in Little Rock today. Lincoln said reimporting prescription drugs from Canada may not be the final solution to high drug costs, but Congress must push forward such legislation to accomodate the growing senior population. Lincoln spoke at a monthly AARP Arkansas meeting and urged seniors to take advantage of benefits passed with last year`s Medicare expansion. While she said there are problems with the reform -- including not educating seniors enough about its benefits -- she said it was necessary to pass it so that Congress could test it and propose bills to solve discrepencies.
