Vice President Cheney On His Way To Arkansas

Vice President Dick Cheney is due in Hot Springs this evening in preparation for campaign visits there and Fort Smith. Earlier today he told nearly one thousand military personnel in Colorado that the Bush administration is "doing everything" it can to protect the nation against terrorists and other threats. Cheney has been campaigning throughout the West and addressed members of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and the U.S. Northern Command, which was set up here to coordinate the military response to threats to North America following the Sept. 11 attacks. Tomorrow morning, Cheney is to attend at town hall meeting at the Hot Springs Convention Center before flying to Fort Smith where he will deliver remarks at a rally at the Fort Smith Convention Center.
