A Bittersweet Night for Clark Supporters

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
From start to finish, thousands of Arkansans were along for the ride. Though Wesley Clark bowed out of the race for the White House, many of his supporters did not, channeling their energy to support John Kerry. While Thursday was a big night for Democrats, it was also a bittersweet one for those who supported Clark. They say his endorsement of Kerry and strong speech at the convention will make campaigning for the New England senator that much easier. If John Kerry wins the election, there`s speculation that Wesley Clark could be appointed Secretary of Defense or Secretary of State.
