Officials with John Kerry`s campaign say pulling TV ads from Arkansas and Louisiana is only a temporary move. The Democrat`s campaign says taking the ads off the air is not a sign that Kerry is giving up on a region that President Bush won in 2000. Campaign leaders the Massachusetts senator is shifting resources for a brief time. Rodney Shelton, state director for Kerry`s campaign in Arkansas, said Kerry`s television spots will return. Shelton said the Kerry campaign shifted money for the ads to other southern states like North Carolina and South Carolina after North Carolina Senator John Edwards, a South Carolina native, was chosen as Kerry`s running mate.
