Carjacking With a Potentially Dangerous Twist

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The trouble started in Pine Bluff Thursday afternoon when a woman left her two young children, ages one and five, in the car as she went to run an errand. When she returned, her car and her kids were gone. Police say two black males stole the car, apparently unaware that the kids were still inside. A mile into their trip, they dropped the kids off. Pine Bluff police say the suspects refused to stop and led police on a chase into southern Pulaski County, where the suspects then fled on foot. Police tried to track them down using a State Police helicopter, but the thick vegetation made the search difficult. The search was called off around 7:00 pm Thursday night.
