A retired circuit judge has been named as a temporary replacement for a judge suspended from the bench by the state Supreme Court while he faces drunken driving-related charges. Randall Williams, who served as a circuit judge in Jefferson and Lincoln counties for more than two decades, will take over the caseload of Circuit Judge Fred A. Davis the Third. Davis of White Hall was suspended with pay on Tuesday. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Garland County on June tenth, and was also charged with driving an unregistered vehicle and unlawful use of a dealer tag. All the charges are misdemeanors. His trial is set for September 22nd.
