Arkansas Is Getting More Rain Than Usual

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Many areas of Arkansas have received above-average rainfall for this time of year, but the National Weather Service says overall levels are not yet excessive. Southern and western Arkansas have been the hardest hit, with street flooding in Little Rock and Pine Bluff and Phillips County requesting emergency funding yesterday. High chances for rain are predicted through the end of the week. Most of June`s rains were caused by a low-pressure system around Colorado, est Texas and northeastern New Mexico.
