Governor Appoints New Game And Fish Commissioner

Governor Huckabee appointed John Benjamin, a distributor from Glenwood, to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission this morning. Benjamin owns the Interstate Batteries distributor for western Arkansas and previously worked for Johnson Controls Inc. of Texarkana as a production control manager. Benjamin also served in the Army, taught school at Winthrop and graduated from Henderson State University at Arkadelphia. He replaces Lester Sitzes of Hope, one of Huckabee`s childhood friends from Hope, who was the governor`s first commission appointee in 1997.
