Grounds to Close?

Cuts to Arkansas parks run by the Corps of Engineers are nothing new. In February, 20 parks in the Corps` Little Rock area closed due to budget constraints. Now, more cuts could be on the way. Tourism leaders say more cuts will hurt the state`s tax base. They argue Arkansas parks are among the most used in the country and that many visitors are from out-of-state and bring important tax money to Arkansas. The final decision on cuts will be left to lawmakers in Washington.
