An Arkansas soldier electrocuted in an accident in basic training will receive a full military funeral. Private Van Ryan Marcum of Prescott touched a metal part of a building and was electrocuted Saturday. It happened during a three day training expedition at Fort Benning, Georgia. Marcum only halfway through his basic training, but he made it clear he wanted to be an elite Army Ranger and serve in Iraq or Afghanistan. Services are set for Saturday at 10:00 am at Brazzel Cornish Chapel in Prescott. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Sutton.
