Conway Council Refuses To Intervene In Gay Pride Parade

Council member Sandy Brewer introduced a resolution at Tuesday night`s meeting stating the city does not encourage a gay pride parade scheduled for Sunday. But the motion failed to get a second. The council room was standing room only. The majority were there to oppose the parade. Despite the packed house, council refused to make a motion to open the floor for public comment. The parade is scheduled for this Sunday at 3pm.
