Traffic Accident Kills 5 Heading To Family Reunion In El Dorado

Law officers in Illinois are still investigating a head-on crash on an interstate highway that took the life of five people heading for a reunion in Arkansas. The five killed in the crash Saturday on Interstate 57 in southern Illinois were all Milwaukee residents. They were traveling to a family reunion at El Dorado, Arkansas. Illinois state police said a pickup truck traveling in the wrong lane of Interstate 57 struck a car carrying six people. Five occupants of the Ford were killed, including a seven-year-old boy. A sixth passenger in the Ford -- a four-year-old boy -- was also injured, and the truck`s driver remains hospitalized. The dead were identified as 25-year-old Chantel Mason -- 30-year-old Tonia Conley -- 23-year-old Unique Harris -- 27-year-old Veleka Fleming -- and Harris`s seven-year-old son Derrion Sutton.
