A Dirty Problem on the Road

Sure, we all know cell phones and speeding are dangerous when you`re driving down a busy Arkansas highway. Now federal safety experts are turning their attention to a dirty problem-- road debris. A AAA study reveals trash is responsible for more than 25,000 accidents a year. You can also blame junk for 40 percent of all traffic slowdowns. The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says cleaning up is a full-time job. In fact, the Department spends $2-3 million on clearing trash every year.
