Sam`s Club, the warehouse store division of Wal-Mart Stores Incorporated, is taking orders for a "church bulk pack" of D-V-Ds and videotapes of Mel Gibson`s "The Passion of the Christ." The giant retailer is to sell packages that contain 50 copies of the movie. Sam`s Clubs started taking orders last week, and spokeswoman Jolanda Stewart says the bulk pack of the controversial movie is drawing more orders than expected. The film is to be released August 31st for home video. Stewart says the bulk packaging of the movie fits with the way Sam`s Clubs do business. She says the warehouse division focuses on sales to small businesses, and that includes churches. The 50-packs of the D-V-D version sell for 898 dollars. Fifty video cassettes go for 795 dollars.
