Judge denies request for temporary order to block consolidation

A federal judge has denied a request for a temporary order that would have blocked consolidation of some Arkansas school districts. A number of districts have sued to stop a state effort to combine school districts with fewer than 350 students. The consolidation is part of an effort to address a state Supreme Court order to improve Arkansas public schools.
