Medical Marijuana-Issue could be on November ballot.

Updated: January 7, 2009
The Arkansas Alliance for Medical Marijuana says it believes it will have the needed signitures by July 2nd, for the issue to appear on the November ballot. The initiative would allow doctors to make a recommendation to patients, such as cancer, AIDS, or glaucoma patients to use marijuana. The patients would then receive a card from the Department of Health which would allow them to grow the plant. Patients could not have more than an ounce in their posession at a time.
