Flight 1420 Memorial Dedicated Tuesday Morning

About 100 people assembled this morning to dedicate a memorial to the victims of American Airlines Flight 1420, which crashed five years ago today at Little Rock National Airport. Eleven people were killed when the jetliner landed in a thunderstorm and slid off the runway. Scores of people were injured. The monument is at the Aerospace Education Center across from the airport. People who gathered for today`s ceremony wore name tags denoting whether they were crash survivors or family members. The tags bore different seat numbers.
