Arkansas Gets 5 Million To Fight Terrorism

The federal government is giving Arkansas five million dollars to prepare its hospitals and health-care systems for bioterrorism, infectious diseases and natural disasters. The Arkansas Health Department will use the money to prepare for large numbers of casualties and improve communication during disasters. The money also can be used for trauma and burn care, providing behavioral-health services, and buying communications and protective gear.
