Testimony in death of former football player to start

Testimony is to begin Thursday in the trial of a man accused of killing a former football player in Pine Bluff. Terrance Johnson is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of former Watson Chapel High School and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football star Bobby Jett Junior. The slaying occurred October 13th, 2003, when someone opened fire on a vehicle Jett was driving. A jury has been selected and trial is expected to last through tomorrow. ------ Jett drew honors for his play at Watson Chapel and was a member of the team that won the 1995 Class AAAA State Championship. At U-A-P-B, he was the leading punt returner in the Southwestern Athletic Conference during his junior year.
