Updated: January 7, 2009
Senator John Kerry continues his campaign visit to Arkansas with a stop at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Thursday morning. Kerry arrived Wednesday afternoon in Little Rock and drew about 700 people for a campaign rally that was followed by a fund-raiser. The presumed Democratic nominee raised about 750-thousand dollars. Among those speaking Wednesday night at Kerry`s fund-raiser was retired Army General Wesley Clark of Little Rock. Clark ran against Kerry in the early Democratic primaries but has since backed Kerry`s campaign. Kerry said the Bush administration had failed veterans by cutting the Veterans Administration budget.
