Illegal Dumpsite Causes Problems In Conway

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A Conway businesswoman is at her wit`s end over an illegal dumping ground across the street from her business. "Five of the 10 customers who come in here ask us what we`re doing over there," said Audie Alumbaugh, manager of On The Green. "They assume it`s our property and it`s not our property." On The Green, a driving range, sits right across the street from an illegal dumping ground on Bronnie Lane. Documents obtained by KARK 4 News lists Bryan Trent of Trent Family Ltd Partnerships in Conway as the owner. Trent told the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality he would clean up the land. If he fails to do so, he could be fined up to $10,000 per violation.
