Updated: January 7, 2009
Former prosecutor TJ Hively of Batesville will be sentenced July 21st on federal racketeering and fraud convictions. Hively was tried with two co-defendants earlier this year and was found guilty of one count of racketeering and four counts of mail fraud. His former law partner, Wesley John "Butch" Ketz, was convicted of racketeering and mail fraud. Ketz will be sentenced a day after Hively. Jurors deadlocked on charges against bail bondsman Gary Edwards. Federal prosecutors said Edwards would not be retried, and unsettled charges against Hively and Ketz won`t be brought back in front of a jury.
