Little Rock Schools To Get Grant

US Education Secretary Rod Paige today announced that Little Rock will receive a $1.3 Million grant to give its low-income students better access to advanced courses. The No Child Left Behind Act created incentives for Advanced Placement courses. It is based on the theory that students are more likely to attend college and pursue advanced degrees if they take advanced courses in middle school and high school.
