Substitute teacher dismissed for touching student

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A substitute teacher in Conway has been told he can not return to the school district. A student came forward alleging the teacher patted her on her behind in front of several other students. This is the second time in less than 6 weeks that a substitute from our area has been accused of inappropriate behavior. In February a substitute from North Little Rock was accused of kissing a student. The Department of Education requires criminal background checks on all substitutes. But training is left to individual school districts.
