Crack Discovered In Napkin At Texarkana School

Updated: January 7, 2009
A Texarkana man was discovered to have crack cocaine when he mistakenly gave a napkin wrapping a rock of the drug to his ten-year-old daughter. College Hill Elementary principal Barbara Freedman told police that the man, 26-year-old Stanley Howard, made a scene last week while asking his daughter to return the napkin. The girl was in Freedman`s office because she was crying after she wiped her nose with the napkin and threw it in a garbage can. Freedman asked the father to leave because he was making a scene. The principal then followed the girl to the trash can where she had discarded the napkin and dug it out. When Freedman saw the drugs, she called police and they later arrested Howard when he came to pick up his children at the school.
