Jury Selection Begins In Pine Bluff Murder Trial

Updated: January 7, 2009
Lawyers are set to select jurors Thursday for the trial of a Pine Bluff man accused of shooting another man in front of a house last May. Thirty-nine-year-old Larry Henderson is accused of killing 48-year-old Aaron Street. Henderson had pleaded innocent to capital murder and to possessing a firearm as a four-time convicted felon. Prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty. Police had learned from witnesses that the men had argued prior to the shooting. Henderson turned himself into police later that day. Henderson had been previously charged with first-degree murder in 1989 in Lincoln County, but that charge was later reduced to manslaughter. The upcoming trial is set to take place in Judge Berlin Jones` First Division Circuit Court. Posted by Mike Hellgren
