A police spokesman said today that a
man suspected of killing his wife yesterday has suffered from
depression for months.
Sergeant Jim Scott said 45-year-old Michael Grice has been
taking medicine and that mental illness could be a factor in the
shooting.
Grice is being held without bond on a charge of first-degree
murder in the slaying of his wife -- 43-year-old Sharon Grice.
Scott said police found Sharon Grice`s body late Sunday morning
on the floor of a bathroom upstairs. She had been shot once in the
head. Investigators later recovered a twelve-gauge Benelli shotgun
from the home.
Grice was co-owner of a masonry company, and his wife was a
secretary for Entergy Arkansas. The Grice`s children are both
university students.
