A preservation group is upset with plans to make a tugboat that was used to rescue sailors during the bombing
of Pearl Harbor part of a museum at North Little Rock.
The Tugboat Hoga Preservation Society in Honolulu says it will ask Hawaii`s congressional delegation to help reverse a decision that allows the U-S-S Hoga to become part of the museum in Arkansas.
Navy Secretary Gordon England decided to allow the 100-foot tugboat to become the centerpiece of the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum.
But the preservation group wants the boat to be returned to Pearl Harbor. The vessel is now at the Navy`s Inactive Ship Maintenance Facility near San Francisco.
