Jefferson County Deputies Recover $100k In Stolen Property

Two Jefferson County men are in custody after deputies said they stole about $100,000 of goods from local homes and businesses. The property was taken over a five-month period. Deputies recovered items ranging from computers and stereo equipment to tractor trailer tires and power tools. "The investigation is still ongoing," said Capt. Gerald Robinson, with the Jefferson County Sheriff`s Department. "We`re still out recovering stuff." Some of the items have already been returned to the owners. Robinson said the suspects are cooperating with authorities.
