Governor Gives Award To Hot Springs Man

Governor Huckabee honored a Hot Springs man with the Governor`s "Life Saver Award" after his father died during a fire. Johnnie Pope`s car caught fire near a gas station last December. He drove the car away from the station so no one would get hurt. He later died from those injuries. Mark Pope, the victim`s son, received the award in his father`s honor Thursday. Governor Huckabee has only given out less than 50 of those awards during his two terms.
