Hundreds Show Up At Clark Headquarters For Auction

Clark Bar candy bars, campaign posters and buttons are among the finds today at an auction in Wesley Clark`s former presidential campaign headquarters in Little Rock. But most items are office supplies, computers, desks and chairs. About 300 people packed into the fourth-floor offices at historic Union Station that served as Clark Central for five months. Some were Clark supporters, others were adding to their offices and still others hoped to make money reselling the items on eBay. Campaign budget director Andy Kessel says he estimates the auction could raise about $15,000. Kessel said he wants to raise half a million dollars from the auction and other fund-raisers to cover debt from the campaign. Clark in September was the last to enter a field of ten Democrats vying for the party`s nomination. He won one out of the first 17 primaries or caucuses before dropping out in mid-February.
