Conway police have arrested a man wanted on felony charges in Arkansas and Texas. Officers wrestled Louis Ray Jones, age 62, to the floor of a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Conway on Saturday night. Jones was treated for minor cuts and bruises at Conway Regional Medical Center and was transferred to Faulkner County Jail on Sunday. Jones was wanted in Bowie County, Texas, on a charge of sexual assault of a child, among other charges. A Quitman police officer almost had Jones outside a high school basketball game last month, but Jones ran away. Officer Melissa Smith of Conway recognized Jones when she saw him in the Wal-Mart and nabbed him. Jones is also suspected of stealing thousands of dollars of property in Faulkner County.
