Acxiom Corporation is looking to expand. The Little Rock-based consumer database company has offered to buy European operations from an Italian directories company for 37.5 million dollars. Acxiom expects the deal to close this spring or early summer. The company says the transaction could add 63 to 69 million dollars to 2005 revenues. The purchase involves operations of consumer-lifestyle databases in England, France, Spain and Germany under the Consodata name. The current owner will keep the United States and Italian Consodata operations. Acxiom had revenue of 733 million dollars for its fiscal nine months ended December 31st.
