Explosion Damages Three Homes

An explosion this moring near the Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind damaged three homes. An elderly woman in the neighborhood was injured. Little Rock Police Sergeant Terry Hastings said three houses were "pretty well destroyed." The police department received the call at 7:32AM and sent the narcotics unit out in case a methamphetamine lab was involved. Houses as many as two blocks away were damaged. Little Rock Assistant Fire Chief Don Kenny said an eyewitness called it a "tremendous explosion."
