Just hours after investigators found Julia Stern safe and sound, the Jefferson County Sheriff`s Department was starting a new investigation: figuring out how and why Julia Stern died. On Tuesday, State Police issued a Morgan Nick-Amber Alert, but by day`s end Julia was found a short distance from her home on Gravel Pit Road. The relief of Julia`s parents would be shortlived. Early Wednesday morning, a fire swept through the Stern`s home. Julia`s parents and two sisters made it out alive, but Julia died in the fire. The Jefferson County Sheriff`s Department is now working to see if there are any connections between Julia`s disappearance and her death just a day later.
