A man accused of capital murder in the death of his girlfriend`s 15-month-old baby says he`s not guilty. Sean A. Michaud of Hot Springs entered his plea yesterday. He was initially charged with battery, but the charge was changed after Ashton Bass died. The 23-year-old Michaud was arrested February fifth, the day before the child died. Ashton was the son of Jacqueline Michelle Breshears, who was not charged. Trial is set for September 13th. If convicted as charged, Michaud would be sentenced either to life in prison without parole or execution. Michaud remains in the Garland County Jail. Police say he lost his temper and shook the crying baby, striking his head against a television.
