Arkansas Fishing Report: July 8 - 10

Every person I've talked to up there is getting their limits on rainbows. Go up there, if it's generating, throw a night crawler, wax worms or power bait; if it's generating, you need to throw an in-line spinner or -- our lure of the week -- a shad wrap I have right here. You can pick these up at Fish 'N Stuff in Sherwood or Greers Ferry. All you need to do is throw it out there, reel it back in, it'll do it itself and catch you a lot of good rainbow right now.
Okay, let's go back to Lake Conway which is still on fire. The brim fishing's about ten feet off the bank; crickets, wax worms are doing real well. The bass fishing right now, this week alone there's a nine- and an eight-pounder caught, both on plastic worms. Fish them pretty close to the creek channels near some stumps. Crappie fishing's a little slow there, but you can still catch some deep side of the cypress trees.
My last spot right now is the Arkansas River in Morrilton. Charlie at Hidden Harbor is catching a bunch of fish right now. The brim fish he's catching on rooster tails, black, copper blade; the whites are schooling right now. The bass he's catching on a fat rat; fish around the jetties.
Okay, folks, as I told you before, I'm going to have some details each week on Fish for the Fallen which is the 29th of October at Greers Ferry. Right now, Redneck Remedy, Arkansas Marine Skeeter Boats are teaming up to be my headline sponsors. I appreciate what they're doing for us. We're going to have a real good tournament; look forward to seeing you out there.
Next Thursday at 7:00 p.m. on KARZ-42, I will be on Arkansas Sports Nation LIVE talking about some more fishing. We get into a little bit more detail about the fishing report. I hope you tune in cuz I know you're going to have a good time.
This is Big Sarge and I'll see you next week.
