It`s Time to Head To Romance

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Hundreds of Valentine`s Day cards are winging their way to a small Arkansas town, sent by people who want to add some Romance to their love lives. Most make a brief stop at the Romance post office for a commemorative cancellation stamp before being forwarded to their destinations. Nancy Schnebelen, the Romance postmaster, says each year a greater volume of Valentine`s mail comes in -- even letters from overseas. And ever since the postmark was featured in a Martha Stewart publication on weddings this year, batches of wedding invitations have been finding Romance. Speaking of weddings, the post office hosts about 10 a year, including two scheduled for tomorrow. Schnebelen herself was married there five years ago. Posted by Mike Hellgren
