Hempstead County Man Honored For Invention

The inventor of the Klipschorn speaker was recently inducted into the Consumer Electronics Association Hall of Fame. The late Paul Wilbur Klipsch of Hope was honored as the speaker`s inventor and as the president and chief engineer of Klipsch and Associates. Klipsch held patents in the fields of geophysics, ballistics and acoustics. He also has been inducted into the Audio Hall of Fame and the Engineering and Science Hall of Fame, and he received the Audio Engineering Society`s Silver Medal. Klipsch was born in Indiana.
