Deena Burnett, whose husband died in the September eleventh, 2001, terror attacks, told students Searcy, where she reminded them that Americans are willing to fight for their freedom. Burnett lives in Little Rock. Her Husband Tom was killed while helping organize other passengers on the hijacked United Airlines Flight 93. The plane crashed in rural Pennsylvania as the passengers worked to overtake the terrorists. Deena Burnett spoke Thursday night at Searcy`s Harding University. She recalled that her husband told her via cell phone during the flight that the passengers were going to "do something." She said those words have inspired her to keep their memory alive and be courageous in defending the rights she enjoys. She challenged the students to decide what they`re willing to fight for and act to make a difference.
