North Little Rock considers longer bar hours

The mayor of North Little Rock is proposing an ordinance, which would allow the cities bars to stay open until 2am on weekdays and 1am Saturdays. Right now the bars in North Little Rock close an hour before those in Little Rock. Bar owners say their customers head to Little Rock after their last call. Mayor Patrick Hays says its time for North Little Rock to be competitive. The issue goes before council Monday night.
